I never had a chance to post my #treeoflife photo. This picture was taken on Harper's second day Earth side. She was a nursing champion from day 1! Thank goodness, because the cesarean we ended up having was not the 'natural birth" I had envisioned. The staples were tight and the pain medication was STRONG. I was actually asleep here. Breastfeeding was the best/most challenging/rewarding/frustrating/incredible/personal journey I have ever been on. I was lucky to nourish her for 9 months in my womb and an additional 14 months Earth side.
